How to Automate File Processing with Reports API and Inspection Sync
Reports API is live and our team is excited to finally share it with you. The Reports API paired with Inspection Sync and our standard API represents a whole new level of automation that will enable rating companies to streamline their file processing workflow.
In short, the Reports API feature enables tighter integration between Ekotrope RATER and your project management systems. It eliminates the need to manually complete repetitive tasks like sending batches of reports and certificates for different energy models and different programs to your builder clients.
Reports API can be applied in a few different ways, but one of the most prominent and valuable uses is for streamlining inspection file processing with Inspection Sync.
What is Inspection Sync?
Inspection Sync acts as the connection between your inspection application of choice and Ekotrope RATER, allowing you to update existing energy models immediately with field inspection results.
Inspection Sync enables you to upload your field inspection data directly into an Ekotrope RATER energy model. This means that users no longer have to record field data in their inspection application and then spend time transcribing all of that information into each energy model in Ekotrope RATER. This transcription step is time-consuming, does not add any value, and is an opportunity for errors.
Upon uploading the inspection data with Inspection Sync, Ekotrope RATER will automatically update each energy model.
How does Reports API work with Inspection Sync?
Both tools are used to automate the rater company’s workflow. Inspection Sync automatically pushes your data into Ekotrope energy models so that you don’t have to do so manually. By adding Reports API, you can also automatically download and send your inspection reports to your customers.
The Reports API integration with Inspection Sync allows you to automatically upload your inspection information to Ekotrope RATER and then, once the inspection results are completely updated, send all of the necessary reports to your builders. This integration essentially makes the file processing process entirely automated. Once the inspection is complete, updating the energy model, registering the project with RESNET, and sending reports is entirely automatic. Enabling your team to have more time focusing on the complicated work and delivering results to your clients in minutes rather than days or weeks.
