Cy Kilbourn Appointed to RESNET Oversight Committee

The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) is currently developing a nationally consistent, open-source software resource for calculating HERS Index scores per ANSI/RESNET/ICC Standard 301. The RESNET HERS Index is the industry standard for measuring the energy efficiency of a home, and currently there are several calculation methods for determining it. The centralized software, administered by RESNET, will eliminate inconsistencies in the HERS Index and associated data.

The RESNET Board, in contract with Rob Salcido of Salcido Solutions, appointed a committee of industry experts to help direct development of the software. The committee is composed of six individuals with extensive experience in energy modeling, among which is our own Cy Kilbourn. Congrats, Cy!cy-website
