Ekotrope is selected by Green Key Village to optimize net-zero housing development

Green Key Village, located in Lady Lake, Florida, is working diligently to create a community of sustainable, energy efficient new homes. Through thoughtful consideration of components, design, geometry, technology, and orientation, Green Key Village aims to achieve a fully net-zero development, resulting in a community that will produce at least as much energy as it consumes. The gated community will include 145 eco-friendly homes, available to buyers in ten custom floor plans.

When faced with the challenge of optimizing every aspect of the 145 homes, Green Key turned to the expertise of the Ekotrope team and our industry-leading software suite. Our software suite has been selected to analyze the components and systems to ensure optimum cost and energy efficiency for each home. Thanks in part to Ekotrope technology, which was developed by MIT scientists and industry entrepreneurs, each Green Key Village home will be fully sustainable and certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition and the Home Energy Rating System.

To highlight and share this exciting new partnership, Ekotrope and Green Key Village have released a joint press release explaining the project in full detail and how the Ekotrope software will be implemented. We are thrilled to have partnered with Green Key Village, and for the opportunity to further the development of net-zero, cost-effective homes that meet code and regulations, fulfill home-buyers’ dreams and help preserve the environment.
