By partnering with Ekotrope, Design Consultants, Architects, and Engineers can use a Non-Rater license from Ekotrope to collaborate with their HERS Rater or demonstrate Energy Code Compliance.
Our General Solutions
Ekotrope RATER is a powerful and easy to use calculation engine that can demonstrate compliance with IECC Energy Codes, LEED for Homes, Utility Programs, NGBS, and other Green Building Programs. We are used all over the world to show compliance with the above compliance pathways. These solutions allow you to do everything a HERS Rater can except generate certain reports that require a HERS Rater credential like a HERS Certificate or Energy Star Certificate.
What are the General License Options?
Standard RATER License:
Run compliance checks for all codes and programs in Ekotrope and generate reports for most of them. Certificates for HERS, ENERGY STAR, and DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes require a HERS Rater credential.
Best for: Green building compliance (e.g., LEED for Homes) without a HERS Rater credential.
RATER Lite License:
Model homes and run compliance checks, but with more limited report generation than Standard RATER.
Best for: Collaborating with HERS Raters or doing modeling on rated homes without generating code compliance documentation.
